32 nm CHIPS- NEW BLAZE IN THE WORLD OF COMPUTER PROCESSORS

Blazing a trail, Intel moved to 32 nm technology in the early 2010 and launched its WESTMERE family of chips which include core i3, core i5 and core i7 processors. With their unmatched specifications and efficiency these processors have left silver mark in the horizon of digital computing and within no time have made rooms in most of the laptops and PCs manufactured these days.
These 32 nm chips utilizes smaller manufacturing process as compared to the earlier used 45 nm technology. The smaller size allows space for more cores onto a single chip and makes it more energy efficient.

 Intel's  rival AMD was a bit late to join this party of moving from 45 nm to 32 nm technology . Chasing Intel in this race AMD recently announced that laptops and desktops with its 32 nm A-series processors dwelling inside them will be available this quarter, i.e., before the end of April. AMD has really been involved in some serious work in the recent days and the latest  FUSION processor from them was really a big achievement. We hope that they keep up with their good work in 32 nm chips as well

NEW MOBILE CHIPSET FROM QUALCOMM

Qualcomm comes up with its new SNAPDRAGON MSM8X60 chipset which hosts ample power inside it to set up a new benchmark in world of mobile computing.
The MSM8X60 is equipped with a dual core SCORPOION processor and an ADRENO 220 GPU and employs 45nm SOC technology.
The latest Snapdragon MSM8x60 chipset  is divided into two models - 8660 for CDMA and 8260 for GSM.Both models are available in two versions one clocked at 1.2 GHz and the other at 1.5 GHz.


This new fastest dual core power-house from Qualcomm  promises much improved graphics processing with efficient handling for 3D and smooth gaming experience and consequently to take mobile performance to a whole new level.

WORLD CUP IS FINALLY OURS

The long awaited CRICKET WORLD CUP is ours now. But the fact that provides me immense happiness is that it came in right time for my ideal, my legend the SACHIN TENDULKAR. This was the only deserving territory he was deprived of. But the manner in which it came for him pays for every thing. It could have never been so grand. Bagging the cup before his fans on his native land with every one cheering for him, in all a divine feel. 
For me its more than a festival eve. I like cricket because SIR SACHIN RAMESH TENDULKAR plays this game. The stature he sets not as a cricketer but as a human being is more than inspirational. He is truly worthy of this triumph. I am thankful to the other team members for their commitment to honor him with this achievement.

MY CONGRATULATIONS TO THE LEGEND, THE INDIAN TEAM AND EVERY INDIAN ON THIS SUCCESS!!.WISH COULD SEE THIS HAPPEN IN OTHER GAMES TOO SPECIALLY HOCKEY OUR NATIONAL GAME

NEAR FIELD COMMUNICATION (NFC)

"Near Field Communication (NFC) is perhaps one of the most impressive technologies on which we are going to heavily rely in future"

NFC brings to us the possibilities of :
* making payments using cellphones or other NFC  lashed gadgets just like we do using our credit/debit cards rather more seamlessly. So it would be like an e-wallet in your pocket.
* on parking permits.
* for downloading or accessing data by bringing NFC lashed device in proximity of a NFC readable information.
* buying and receiving railway/bus tickets and receiving them on your NFC-cellphones.
* interacting with posters, magazines etc.
* ...........and many more; the list is quite long.

The beauty of this technology would not just help our pocket get rid of the extra weights of various credit/debit/identity cards and tags but would also provide extra security and save a lot of time.
NFC is a short range radio technology. It operates at 13.6 MHz frequency and about 424 kbps data transfer rate. Establishing NFC connection is real fuss-free, just bring two NFC-compatible devices in close proximity and its done. NFC is almost similar to RFID technology rather a more advanced and developed version of it. Like RFID, NFC also uses inductive coupling for data transfer but unlike RFID, NFC supports two way communication and that makes it more secured and efficient.
The technology is still being nurtured and is under trial in some of the countries but its not too far when we could seek its services.
There have been lot of rumors about Apple introducing NFC in its next generation iphone. Well I would hope that these rumors shape in reality and we could soon meet some of the gadgets embedded with NFC technology.
