There was a hint of it in the CES-2011 and finally it is here, the BIG NEWS from SONY!!
Sony Electronics announced today it first Tablet Computers, S1 and S2 and right away you can get the fragrance of "typical Sony work". Both these tablets smell quite different and distinct from all other tablets in the market today as can be seen in the image below. This is particularly why, I am big fan of this company!!
S1 has a 9.4 inch screen with 1280 x 800 resolution and S2 host dual folding screens each 5.5 inch wide and 1024 x 480 pixels in resolution.Both these models will be running Android-3.0(Honeycomb) and will be lashed with WiFi and WAN(3G/4G).
To add up more flavor, Sony revealed that both these devices will be Palystation Certified. This means that they can play PS1 games; Now that's for sure going to water Gamer's mouth!!
Well Apple may have revolutionized the tabled market with their IPad-1 and IPad-2 in a short time but it is actually Sony which laid the foundation with it's VAIO VGN-UX180P micro PC, way back in 2006.
You might have admired one of these Sony's micro-computers in the hands of Agent-007 in the movie CASINO ROYALE.
